Griffith Observatory

The project which began with the focus of acquiring a telescope, has grown into much larger targets. With sponsorship from Celestron, a CPC 1100 was donated. Calls appeared to know the three observatories in the JPL and the Los Angeles area, and attend a star party in the garden of the Griffith Observatory.

Far beyond what an amateur astronomer could dream!

However, being a challenge that can not be lost, as there were only a cash donation online through our website, the solution was to find sponsors.

Even so, the entire trip, including all expenses, is something around U$ 5000.00. We still need all possible help and sponsorship. We are also open to receive donations of used equipment from California amateurs.

Final push to reach a target

After five months, trying to raise awareness and sensitize peoples and followers to donate a small value for the installation of the first and only astronomical observatory of Mato Grosso. Hundreds of people have decided to follow our campaign, but just only one donor- Mr. Corn from the USA. Our proposal is simple: ask for a small fee of $ 10.00 in a single donation.

People do not donate, which made the task more complicated. Despite this, both companies started to be sponsorship for the telescope and the air passages.
Always understood that the most difficult was the visa. However, it is already in our hands. Our plan is to make a commemorative plaque, where the name of each donor will be fixed. If you do not believe our target and was waiting for the right time, then you can donate now.

My participation in social networks is focused on specific purposes. Each contact added means that I'll add something in the life of a follower and he in my life.
When we add someone, it is because we trust him. So my conclusion is simple: If you do not believe my proposal, this means that my profile has been added to your wrong. Depois de 5 meses, tentando conscientizar as pessoas e sensibiliza-las à doar uma pequena quantia para a instalação do primeiro e único observatório de astronomia do Mato Grosso.

Centenas de pessoas resolveram seguir nossa campanha, mas apenas um doador – Mr. Corn dos USA. A nossa proposta é simples: pedir uma pequena quantia de U$ 10,00 em uma única doação.

As pessoas não doaram, o que tornou a missão mais complicada. Apesar disto, duas empresas aportaram patrocínio para o telescópio e as passagens aéreas.

Sempre entendemos que o mais difícil era o visto. Porém, ele já está em nossas mãos.

Nosso plano é fazer uma placa comemorativa, aonde o nome de cada doador será fixado. Se você não acreditou em nosso alvo e estava esperando a hora certa, então pode doar agora.

Minha participação em redes sociais é focada em propósitos definidos. Cada contato adicionado significa que vou acrescentar algo na vida do seguidor e ele também na minha vida.

Quando adicionamos alguém, é porque confiamos nele. Assim, minha conclusão é simples: Se você não acredita em minha proposta, isto significa que meu perfil foi erradamente adicionado ao seu. DE OLHO NA COPA, ONG DOA TELESCÓPIO PARA ASTRONOMO MONTAR OBSERVATÓRIO DE CUIABÁ

Interessados em alavancar a ciência astronomia durante a Copa de 2014, um grupo de astrônomos internacionais está com um olho nas estrelas e outro nas centenas de pessoas que virão à Cuiabá durante a Copa. Prova disto é a iniciativa de doarem um Telescópio Celestron de 8 polegadas com GPS afim de alavancar o projeto do astrônomo amador Eduardo Baldaci.

O Modelo Nexstar 8” GPS da Celestron F/10 possui Banco de dados com 40.000 objetos e 400 entradas para objetos do usuário com aumento teórico de 480 X. Além disto, com uma câmera CCD acoplada é capaz de tirar imagens incríveis do Universo ou fornece-las através de vídeo para canais de TV.

Porém, toda esta tecnologia apesar de doada terá um preço: O preço da viagem até Los Angeles e a taxa de importação por parte da receita federal. Justamente por isto, iniciamos uma campanha de parceria para levantar cerca de R$ 5000,00 em fundos que custearão as passagens.

Quem quiser ajudar, além de ter seu nome em uma placa comemorativa que será instalada no Observatório fará parte do quadro de sócios honorários da SPACE, tendo 50% de descontos vitalícios nas entradas do Observatório.

This telescope is being donated by an NGO, but I must go and get it in Los Angeles CA. The price of this unit in Brazil would be the same as R$ 12.000 (6,800 U$D). The amount that was spent going to Califórnia is around $ 2.500 (something around 64% off the total price - cheaper than buying in Brazil).

Thus, the campaign has advanced ... I only need $ 2,500 (to expenses just with airtickets and hotel) ... if you can help me with a U$D10,00, time may be now. The Observatory of Mato Grosso is close to leaving the paper.

interview about my dream.

The Project "Astronomy with a Purpose" maybe can´t be understood by some peoples. We still live in days that many people confuse the science astronomy with not science astrology . Moreover, there are pastors who do not want to work in science, believing that the pastor only place is in the Church.

But around the world increases the influence of the gospel everywhere. We have soccers players, F1 pilots, artists, politicians ... all servants of Jesus. Why not science?

Even in the face of criticism,I´m working in this two areas - religious and scientific - for 29 years. I waited and wasted too much time trying to encourage the political environment to deploy an observatory with a vision to serve the community, especially to younger generations.

Now, I decided to involve all my efforts, prayers, actions, influence on a project that uses all the knowledge of ministry and leadership, achieved with the blessing of God and the people who was invested in my life.

Just an example how this can be after finish

In this simple blog, I put a little bit of information about my life. You'll see that I am not a curious and not wanting to give a spamers a financial blow. I'm a real man, father, leader and dreamer, who enlists the help of the Creator and a network of friends to complete this project by December 2012.

In 2013, we have the first soccers game before the 2014 World Cup in Cuiaba, and the observatory will be a few extra attractions to attract people in reach then with creationism message.
